A very Zen type of Duck

Botanical garden, Delft 1:30 pm
On Saturday, my girlfriend and I visited the Botanical garden, which is run by the Technical University Delft. During our walk we encountered this duck. Normally, one probably wouldn’t think twice about such a common bird, but this one was sitting very relaxed and quiet under the bridge. It almost seemed like a fake duck at first. Then it started to move its head, although it remained very relaxed on the water, ignoring our presence altogether. It occurred to me that ducks are quite remarkable creatures and look very beautiful when one takes the time to observe them. It could be that I just got sun struck when I thought that, because it was getting quite warm that afternoon.
