When I walked out of the building of the VARA I passed by this crocodile. Don’t know who left her there, but she seemed to have a good time on the couch all by herself.

Dexter’s hobby-room?
Is it Dexter’s hobby-room? Nah, it isn’t. It’s one of the rooms at my work that is under construction. Since one of the broadcast agencies moved out, they are redecorating the place. Gives a lot of dust and noise at the work place though.

A while later at the celebration, a band played requested songs. One could pick up the phone and ask for a request. The band knew a lot of tunes, but if they didn’t know the song you wanted to hear, the phone line got disconnected.

Last week, my part time employer the VARA celebrated its 85 years anniversary. At one point a big cake was brought into the room and a singer got out of it. She sang a song about, who would have guessed, the VARA history. All in all it was a very enjoyable evening.

Thursday I shot two videos for the VARA. One about 15 years of ‘Zembla‘, the journalistic television programme of which Kees Driehuis is the editor-in-chief. I interviewed him about it, while my colleague Ilse was behind the camera. An hour later I shot an interview with television presenter Astrid Joosten. While waiting for Joosten I was just hanging out in the hallway, looked down and shot this picture.
